About the author…
Scott D. Jennings (known to many as SJ) is a speaker and guide with the nonprofit, para-church organization Zoweh, based in Durham, North Carolina. He has been married to his wife, Sherry, since 1991, and much of his work has been shaped by the long, honest work of loving one person over time, through strength, failure, healing, and grace. A former first responder, Scott understands the cost of living in constant readiness and the quiet toll that comes when strength becomes a way of surviving rather than a way of living.
Speaking primarily at men’s and marriage events, Scott creates spaces where honesty, courage, and compassion can take root. His work is formed by lived experience, Christian spiritual formation, and embodied awareness, and he integrates the Enneagram not as a tool for fixing ourselves, but as a way of noticing what is true and tender beneath our patterns. Known for his vulnerability and grounded presence, Scott invites others to loosen the grip of the False Self and return, again and again, to the True Self, where peace, presence, and love live.
